Monarch consults and services generators
in co-generation stations, on-site
or in our Cleveland shop. This capability includes gas or steam
turbine or diesel fuel stations. Our scope is worldwide.
Experienced in Generating Apparatus
Among the manufacturers we regularly service are Ideal, GE,
Westinghouse, ABB, KATO, Marrelli, Brush, and Angstrom. Monarch
has helped develop, and then participated in a series of maintenance
seminars for co-generation units, working closely with Ideal
Electric and Solar Turbines, the latter a leading provider of
Cogen sets in the 3-20 megawatt range. A further indication
of Monarch standing in this field is our designation as the
only authorized service center for Ideal motors and generators.
Services
Monarch is capable of complete rewind,
repair, or upgrading of generators, especially in high voltage
applications. These services are available on-site. When on-site
is not appropriate, it pays to ship the unit as evidenced by
the 4,800kW generator Monarch received from the Arctic. Additionally,
Monarch is a specialist in upgrading generators in those applications
where more power is required.
Preventative Maintenance
Cryogenesis, Monarch's
non-toxic, non-intrusive dry ice cleaning processing, has been
proven to impart longer life to Co-generating stations. The
cleaning eliminates dirt, which contaminates insulation and
plugs air ducts. A Cryogenesis cleaning restores the necessary
power curve to a lagging unit. Using CO2 pellets, Cryogenesis
eliminates toxic cleaners and liquid clean-up. This efficient
non-damaging cleaning method, at our plant or on site, keeps
equipment dry, allowing dielectric testing immediately after
cleaning.
On-Site Services
Monarch's on-site
services are truly international. Among recent projects
are a complete rewind and rebuild of 12.5MW BB generator in
Israel, and a Cryogenesis cleaning of a MG set in Hawaii. Additionally,
Monarch technicians have traveled to China in a consulting role
to evaluate co-generating stations on oil rigs in the China
sea as well as supervising Cryogenesis cleaning in Great Britain.
