Safety-Related Nuclear Service Capabililty
Monarch-Cleveland rebuilds, repairs and remanufactures safety-related electrical apparatus operating in nuclear power plants. We offer a well-substantiated history of stringent quality controls, prompt delivery and budget constraints under all the provisions governing nuclear service, including 10CFR50 Appendix B and ANSI N45.2. All service is conducted in a dedicated shop within Monarch¹s 155,000 square foot facilities in Cleveland and includes certified components, inspections, testing and documentation to assure all safety-related nuclear design criteria and quality standards are met.
Experienced Rewind, Repair and Remanufacturing
Monarch is well-qualified for these tasks, counting decades of relationships with power plants, including nuclear, as well as a host of Fortune 500 companies. Its work with utilities includes Perry, Niagara Mohawk and PPL. Among manufacturers¹ apparatus regularly serviced is GE, Westinghouse, ABB, KATO, Marrelli, Brush and Angstrom.
We are certified to ISO9001 and able to receive up to 140 tons with appropriate capabilities in horsepower, voltage, swing diameter and VPI. These capacities are noted in other sections of this website.. Advanced processes control quality throughout every service cycle and include diagnostics such as Vibration Spectrum Analysis and EL CID. Further, Monarch can replace or reengineer obsolete apparatus to current IEEE standards, particularly if that apparatus is no longer supported by the manufacturer.
Decontamination and Hot Shop Services
Monarch decontaminates motors to free release condition for repair/rewind utilizing the Duratek facility in Memphis. In the event motors cannot be free release, our technicians work on-site at Duratek to service apparatus in their contaminated state.
On-Site Services
Monarch offers on-site services that include rewind, repair, balancing, alignment, undercutting and Cryogenesis cleaning.
